Keeping the Crew Going Through a Grueling July Heatwave
Back in July 2010, while managing a job off West Market Street, the brutal summer heat was relentless. The sun beat down so hard it felt like the pavement might melt, making every break critical. My crew was on edge, nearly ready to walk off because the usual porta-john setup just wasn’t cutting it. Without reliable sanitation, morale tanked fast and productivity was at serious risk.
We immediately deployed extra units equipped with improved ventilation and hand sanitizer stations to the site. Our crew serviced and maintained the toilets multiple times a day, ensuring the units stayed clean and usable despite the heat. The team quickly regained their footing, with fewer complaints and steady work output through the worst of the heatwave. The client was relieved to see the project keep moving without interruption.
Their quick response kept our crew comfortable and on schedule during the worst heat I've dealt with.
